We can’t believe it’s that time of year again, with Great British Bake Off back on the TV we got ready to bake again for this years Macmillan Coffee Morning! The office was transformed into the Bake Off tent with bunting and cake stands a plenty.
The team at Illingworth Head Office as ever didn't disappoint! We raised over £166 and Illingworth were more than happy to double this amount for such a fantastic cause. It was a tough (but tasty) competition. With so many homemade baked goods it was difficult to choose! However, our very own cake tester Chris Hutchinson crowned 3 winners...
The classic Victoria Sponge baked by Zane, a delicious chocolate cake handcrafted by Gill and Polish apple pie made by Kinga! Chris even delivered his trademarked 'Hutchinson handshake' to the winners, thus concluding Illingworth bake off for another year.
Overall, The effort put into people's bakes was utterly tremendous! We had everything from chocolate cakes and brownies to Baklava and even quiche! Thank you to everyone in the office for a fun morning of tasty treats and for supporting the charity so generously. Finally, a special mention to Chris for organising a successful and enjoyable event.
