The World Orphan Drug Congress 2018
The 8th annual Congress to be held in Maryland for 2018 – in a new larger venue. The Congress focuses on bringing together the worlds of scientific innovation and commercialisation. The Orphan Drug Congress is an important event for biotech companies to get their latest concepts and innovations on display. Focusing on next generation alternative therapies for those with some of the rarest known conditions.
Helen and Juliet will be making the lengthy journey over to Washington DC for this years Orphan Drug Congress. The event brings together more than 150 elite speakers to educate and inspire 1000’s of attendees from big pharma, biotech, payers, patient groups, academics and government bodies.
Our attendance at the event is part of our continued passion to try and use our work to assist within orphan indications. The congress also features a Rare Disease Advocacy area which is a new area but we feel may bring an interesting new element to the congress.
As ever with Orphan indications we are hopeful that these large, well supported events will encourage further research into orphan disease and hence eventually find a treatment for some patients and their families. The event explores trends in digital health, biosimilars and more with the aim of uncovering the next big scientific breakthrough.
